i also had this happen to me and the best advice i can give is to be open about what happened. it takes a while but with support it can get better.

I think with therapy focusing on the rape. I been in therapy for a while and I had mentioned that I have been raped but I never did any type of therapy that focuses on that one specific thing.

Sending you hugs because...this should never ever happen. I'm so sorry. Take care of you. Whatever that looks like- therapy, group, EMDR, art therapy, take a solo self-care trip, vent to a friend or family member, pressing charges, whatever feels right to YOU. In your time. If you don't know what that is yet, that's ok too. But if it doesn't feel right in your heart, don't let anyone tell you what you have to do, think, or feel about what happened. I can relate and just will say that the betrayal is the worst feeling from someone who is supposed to see you and care for you. I'm so sorry. 💜

im so proud you were able to report this! 💗 i cant apologize enough for this but as everyone else suggests a therapist or someone you trust even just to rant to and tell them how you feel!

I had issues with this and struggled feeling that I maybe confused them or thought I should stop the report because they "were ok as a person othwrwise".. this was bad, regardless of the outcome with police etc, you are valid and they are the ones that need to change. You are so strong for talking to a therapist and communicating openly! Keep up the work 💪

I think you should continue talking to your therapist or get one if you don’t currently, they can help so much.
