How can I handle living with a disabled parent? My parents have been divorced for a while but I'm stuck living with my mom who's disabled and has multiple mental illnesses. We constantly get into fights and she's always saying things to me that I shouldn't ever hear from a parent. Is there any way to at least try to boost her or my mood? Neither of us have many interests and we never get any chances to leave the house, is there anything to do from home?

I would also love to hear about this topic šŸ˜… I'm in a similar situation with a legally blind mother who has struggled with addiction. Due to this I have a lot of deep down fear and anger around her because she is abusive while drinking. She has been sober for a few months but its been extremely difficult to live with her and help her with the past events. The best advice I can offer is what my therapist has told me, to leave the situation if possible or to at least create space between you two. Trying duel counseling might help as well but I know that's not always possible. In the past, finding friends online to talk to and hang out with over discord has helped.
