If the medications don’t help, what other alternatives can I use? I have braces already. They help for a good chunk of time. Is there any activities or exercises to help relieve?

@Loocifer - I have hEDS. I actually discovered TENS while going to PT. They usually tried to work me up to the highest setting that was comfortable. If it started stinging at all we’d go down a level. I haven’t ever had an experience of more joint slips after using it, but everyone is different. Also each machine is different. I have a little hand held and used to use level 4 and now I’m on 9. I would also recommend connecting the device to the problem area and while you’re using it, if possible, put some ice on the area! if you have any more questions just let me know

@prickleypear - I just purchased one as well and was wondering what setting you use yours at? I’ve been staying pretty low because I don’t want my muscles to get TOO relaxed and slip out ya know? But idk what “strain” you have, I have the hypermobility so that just may be me 😅😅
you should look into a TENS machine and talk to your doctor about it! I use that on my knees and it has helped a lot to relieve some of the “soreness” that you may be feeling as well as some sharp pains.
Water has been a go to for me! It takes a lot of the pressure off of my joints, and makes it easier to move without risk of dislocating etc.! I also do Pilates reformer one a week and that has helped as well! Obviously the usual rules apply, and be cautious and let the person know you have EDS so they can help give you alternates but you know all of this already! This has helped me! Also copious amounts of MMJ
