Finding Meaning in Life: What's Your Purpose?

definitely my family. i would hate for my parents to have to suffer if i went away.

my cat. i live with my parents and without me they would completely neglect her because they definitely favor the dogs. my cat needs me and finds comfort in me and only me, so she keeps me here :) my boyfriend helps a lot too, but i really try not to depend on him to keep me alive

This is a GREAT question. I am responding because I relate to the feeling of not having any meaning. I grew up in a very religious family and rejected that construct because it made me feel horrible. But believing I am the person who decides what give my life meaning and not a higher power AND having chronic depression leaves me with a "fuck it" attitude. So my answer is a big shrug.

This sounds cliche but my heros give me purpose in life. My favorite band, my favorite youtubers, and of course my family. Whenever I feel like ending it all I remember all the great times in my life

I was just asked this a few days ago and it was hard for me to think of anything. Until last night when I was having a flashback and my bf just sat with me and had water ready for me and after he made sure I had everything to feel better. That's when I realize someone in this world does care about me and he gave me some time a purpose to show him just as much as I care for him.
