I just got diagnosed with MS after having my second flare in an 8 month timespan. This time around the tingling and numbness was in both my legs instead of this one. This hasn’t bothered me too much, but that one thing that has gotten to me is how fatigued I am. I’m wondering if this will lessen as my flare clears up and I won’t get as fatigued throughout the day? I’d love to hear other peoples experiences!

Eliminating certain foods was a game changer for me too!

I find that the fatigue never truly goes away. That is one of the symptoms that has been the worst to adjust to and accept since my diagnosis in 2012. Certain medications can help, along with exercise and getting enough sleep, but no matter what my body is constantly fatigued. Like anything else, you learn to adapt

When I was first diagnosed I was eating like garbage. A lot of junk and fast food and super sugary drinks and my eyes and energy was suffering. I cleaned up my diet and now stick to fish, chicken, fruit, veggies, and assorted nuts. I still get fatigued randomly but I’m doing waaaaaaaay better than I was a few months ago.

Hi there! I found that the my fatigue did get better when I started taking medication for MS. Though I still suffer from it occasionally. Sometimes a brief nap may be very helpful to recharge your batteries 🙂

I'm so sorry you are feeling so fatigued. I wish I could say it goes away or lessens after a flare.. in my case it hasn't. I was diagnosed 11 years ago and the fatigue is still awful 😥
