i applied for two jobs. both as a barista and now im nervous because i dont know if i can handle the unknown and practice preparing for it.

      You won't know until you try it. Give it a try and if it's not for you it's not permanent or something you have to keep doing. If you never try you will never know, leaving that branch of your skill tree locked and inevitably unknown. It's human instinct to be scared or cautious of the unknown, but there are many more good things that can can come from a new experience than bad. Think of it as a side quest in a video game, sure you don't have to do it, but you might not get the cool new skill at the end.
