Coming Out to My Parents - Tips Needed

I'm going to say this. I'm speaking as a DAD. One of my biggest fears is that my sons would have said that to me. I don't like it. If that would've happened, I would have been angry I would have yelled and screamed and probably would have told them that I didn't love them, but deep down that would have been a lie. I love my son's no matter what. It would have taken time to get over the hurt, but them not telling me would have been a hurt I couldn't get over. What I am saying is that you have to tell them, no matter what pain it causes, that would be better in the long run.

In my house I'm the older sister who sent my parents down a spiral when I came out several years ago- my sibling is non binary, but from my havoc we've just accepted that this is not something we c a n reveal until she is financially independent. Remember to put your safety first.that matters the most.

I'd reccomend slowly getting closer to your dad, or ask his sister how ur dad's reaction was when she came out.
