Lithium Letdown: My Disappointing Experience with Medication

Let me tell you, I went through a very similar thing. My mother when I would tell her about my certain depressive episodes she would just tell me that I was probably just not getting enough sleep and she refused to take me to a psychiatrist. As someone that went through a similar experience and someone who knows how it feels I just want to tell you that you’re not the problem. Idk anything about the people u mentioned but if you trust them enough and if you think that they really care about you then tell them how this “treatment” didn’t work. If they actually cared they will keep trying to help you and they will try to find better treatments that might work out better. But one thing I’m 100% sure of is that you’re not the problem. You’re seeking help and you don’t know how big of a step that already is. I’m proud of u for seeking help and going to a psychiatrist. Keep going bby you’re doing great. Much love <3
