Hi there! You can call me Aris. I have been struggling with TieTze’s for quite a few years. I’m just looking for some advice, and to see if others have the same symptoms as me. When I was first diagnosed, my doctor said it would go away…..that was about five years ago. I guess my first question is, Is it normal for this to be a chronic illness? TIA everyone!

@pansies yea same exact symptoms. I am having it since atleast 10 month now. It goes away few weeks and comes back. Avoiding lot of stress heavy work because of it. My dr is giving me high dose of anti inflammatory for now. And doing some heart test as well.all heart test are good so far.

Is this the same as Chistochrondritis? My doctor told me it may never go away. I was diagnosed in March 2021. It was extreme pain. Thank God the horrible pain is gone, but I struggle daily with pressure and tightness in my sternum and under my breast bone. Is this how yours feels? I am trying to figure out I'd my symptoms are comparable to others.

@pansies I've had it for the past 4 or so years.. I find that I can go a long time no symptoms or I can go a while with daily symptoms. It's pretty much the same as what u say, Mines mostly in the chest sternum area also. I'll start to cough like asthma when it gets too tight.

I have been struggling since 2019. Proper management with muscle building, back stretches, and rest are all crucial

I have had it since I was 8. I also have fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It has gotten less noticeable for me but it has never gone away
