Grief is grief regardless of the source. Obviously it’s not good to not do your work, but your feelings are completely valid

you absolutely deserve to rest and i am so sorry you are going through this. just because everything dies does not mean we should not feel sad when it happens. i am so so sorry and take all the time you need

My friending, death is a part of the life experience... we love the things now, then they pass away... all my old dogs died... some were put down because they were in bad pain... it is very saddening, i know, but you can't ignore your duties because of it... be strong, for your kitty...

Grief is grief, no matter who it is for. When we had to put my dog down a few weeks ago I was absolutely devastated, and still am. It keeps hitting me in waves. Some people view death very differently, but they have no right to tell others how to grieve. You take your time and do what you need to do to cope. Whether that means taking a few days then making sure you do the work over the weekend or whatever you need to do. Maybe find a compromise if she is willing. Personally I'd talk to the teachers and see if they'd be willing to push back the due dates a little bit, or see if there is something else you can do for the time being to earn your scores. English you could write about it maybe? Idk. But sending all the love and understanding to you 🤟🏻 I'm sure your cat loved you as much as you loved him.

You should take time to grieve. Your mother is grieving in her own way and so should you. I've learnt that grades do not define you. So you shouldn't stress yourself out too much. You're going through a lot right now, it's okay to take time to heal💜

Of course it's okay, losing a loved one is incredibly sad, animals included. Your grief is valid regardless of how someone else might react and you're not going to just magically stop feeling that way. It will take time and the best thing to do is take care of yourself and do what you need. Homework is not urgent right now. It can wait. If your teacher is understanding they should give you an extension. If not, it's not the end of the world. Grades aren't the most important thing; you are.

I believe you should always take time to rest to properly recover. Take one or two days off to relax so you can return feeling better
