Any other diabetics have a sugar spike in the morning? My blood sugar is always highest when I first wake up before I even get a chance to eat.

Yes, absolutely. If it makes you feel any better, my endocrinologist told me that this happens to most people, even if they're not diabetic. So it's nothing to worry about, just be aware of it.

Yes. If I'm not careful my liver gives me a snack between 2 and 4 a.m. It shows in my morning test. A small low carb snack about 10 p.m. helps, like a tbsp of almond butter or sf protein shake.

Yes I do and I'm working hard to get my reading down to under a 100 since my doctor said she wants me under that number, and I'm eating pretty good, working out, and not late night snacking.

I dont eat past 7-8pm and I dont eat until 11am-12noon the next day. It helps with me prevent sugar spikes. If I do eat breakfast before noon I avoid carbs. I do protein shakes, eggs or oatmeal.
Yeah it also depends on what you eat the night before you go to bed too
