So I was clinically diagnosed with EDS a couple days ago!!! Jury’s still out on testing for what type or for genetic confirmation but my doctor is sure I have it. Either way, I was wondering if anyone else with it bruises easily? And if some areas bruise more easily than others? I pinched myself just to see what would happen near my chest earlier and it immediately turned red and a bruise formed. I don’t know what this would be called if it has a name. Help??

Bruising easily is common in all eds but that easily could mean vascular eds (please see a doctor to confirm, the internet will only have worst case scenarios for you) a geneticist and cardiologist could be more help

@MangoPeach My doctor is checking to see if I need to get diagnosed by a rheumatologist or if she can administer the tests herself time will tell.
