anxiety creating tension in my chest tonight. I just want to share a couple of things that I personally do to help. drink water. cliche I know but it does work. get something weighted like a blanket or my personal favorite a moonpal [weighted stuffed animal]. wrap yourself in the blanket or if using a moonpal make it give you a hug. not only does this calm you down but it's also good for grounding. breathe through your nose for 4 seconds out through your mouth for 6 seconds. do this 4 times. lastly grounding technique. count 5 different objects in your room, then 4 new objects, 3 etc. each set has to have different objects cannot be from a previous list. do this a couple of times. hope all this helps someone. ^_^
