@BobbyJr hey hey, glad to chat too. Xanex is a quick acting benzodiazipam that helps relax similar to Hydroxizine but in my opinion more effective.

@klazikel I'd become friends with any of you. We are all here with about the same issues. We have to help each other out. We are our own support team.

@klazikel hey hey, glad to hear from you. Indeed we have some things in common, I am a parent too with 5 kids, some grown now. I enjoy cannabis healing, and of course have a long history with bipolar, depression, and anxiety. Do you ever feel like you get so used to issues/symptoms that it's like "normal"?

@FreeSeeker I truly don't believe in normal, but I do feel and understand stable. I experience symptoms, even when I'm feeling more stable and have accepted some of them as a part of me. My state of being includes the parts of me effected by the bipolar. They will always be some of the panels that make up the quilt that is me. I accept that. In some ways I embrace it. I feel that my empathy and way of connecting with people comes from the sensitivity due to the bipolar. That is a beautiful part of me that I am proud of. I've seen it in many others with bipolar, having been a participant in a bipolar support group for 2 decades. I've got an appreciation for my differences and coping skills for the difficult ones. Let me know if you'd like to talk more.😁

Nice to get my 1st reply back to a reply. Lol. Yeah going to my happy place is really the best thing I can do. A lot of times I have to sit in bed or on the side of the road with the dread/doom feeling, cold sweats, rapid heart beat and thoughts of dying. I'm always alone when it happens too. Hydroxyzine like I said works sometimes and I take it 3x a day. Never have I tried Xanex. What does that do? Is it for people like us?

Hey! You're the highest of my matches. I see you have bipolar and GAD like I do. I believe you've had it about 8 years longer than I. (Diagnosed) Are there any tips you yourself have when you feel a panic/anxiety attack coming? I can pop a hydroxyzine and it may or may not help but what I do is think of my happy place and go there visually and take deep breaths in through my nose and breathe out through my mouth. I do this about 5 to 8 times. It works sometimes. Then sometimes I end up going to the ER just to be checked out. I truly hate the anxiety. My bipolar is my evil, money loving twin. I am completely opposite of my normal self while being manic. I get that way a lot. I've gotten to where it's hard to fight my urges. I'm being tried on different meds next month to see if that will help me better. I just feel as if nobody understands me but I forget I'm not alone. There are others. Sorry for the long post. I got carried away and we'll, wanted to be clear.

@BobbyJr well bro, to answer your question about onset of panic attacks, mine come usually when I don't see it. Its good you can find a happy place. I usually cover myself up in bed and try to avoid my thoughts. I am prescribed Hydroxizine also but it doesn't do much for me. I was talking Xanex which helped more, but I have to go see my doc for a refill. I don't get manic often, I'm usually on the depressive side. Anyway, nice to meet you BobbyJr.
