Hi I'm Rosemary. I will be 63 years old on April 29th, 2022. I was diagnosed with diabetes type2 on February 14, 2019. I'm on oral med Actos. I walk 5 days a week for exercise , I ask my doctors right away if I have a diabetic concern. I'm honest with them always. My question is how do you guys eat healthy? I eat healthy but occasionally I wait too long to eat and then may eat one or 2 things I shouldn't so I'm just asking not to be nosy but was just interested in how other people eat a healthy diet consistently ?? Also I saw a question on here I liked. Its "What are the symptoms that my illness of diabetes is progressing?I'm ok and do pretty good with my diabetes and have a phone coach for my diabetes but I like this app because it has people on it that may have my illness of diabetes and can speak from experience rather than knowledge. Thanks for listening and nice being here.

Hi Rosemary, I just remember the W and W…. Walking and water! They help a lot with diabetes.

Hi Rosemary 🙂🙂 my name is Sandra I am 57 and was diagnosed with diabetes in 2014. My first A1c was 13! According to my Doctor at the time I had been diabetic for awhile and didn't know. But the not knowing cost me my right kidney to be removed in 2017 due to Chronic kidney disease brought on by my diabetes. I am stage 3 moderate with my left and only kidney... Diabetes can do a lot of damage quickly. It's nice meeting people here 🤗🤗

Hi Rosemary. It's nice to hear from you. I struggle with my diabetes and eating right. I really have a problem with carbs. My Dr. even referred me to a registered dietician. I listened to her and she was very helpful. But I still had a problem with not eating so many carbs. I used to walk as much as I could. But now I have a mild heart murmur and afib. So I get dizzy and shortness of breath. So I'm on metopropol and seeing a cardiologist. By the way, I'm 69 years old. So I'm trying to take care of myself. Also I have terrible nueropathy in my feet, and the Drs that I've seen have all tried to help me. I have a new Dr. Now and an emg was ordered, which I will having this coming Wednesday. Let me know if you don't know what it is. This message is pretty long. Have a good day, Rosemary, and I hope to hear from you soon

Hi Rosemary I live with my dad and adult son. My son does not have diabetes thank god but my dad and I both do. I tend to eat double the meat of a meal and go very light on any starches. My body tho reacts so different. It reacts to my pain levels as well as sugarless drinks and food. Since I started the insulin pump, it’s my lifeline. My A1c went from over 8 to now at 6.5. I’ll take it!! I also keep glacerna on hand if I forget a meal. You can do this!!
