QUESTION— I recently I got a major tear in my oblique muscle and hip labrum. I grew up an elite athlete and am now 22years old and received the injury my complete fluke (which I guess is fairly normal) Does anyone else’s EDS effect your major joints (i.e. shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, etc) and major muscle groups more rather than your fingers smaller joints?

Yes, mine are awful in my larger joints. I have problems with the elbow and knee on my left side the most, because its my dominant side.

Yes! My hips and knees are the worst and I always pull or injure the same muscles.

Oh goodness yes! It mostly affects my larger joints. I have sprained my left ankle 7 times, my left wrist 8 times and various other spots 1-2 times each. My shoulders, hips, and thumbs recently started subluxating which is....great. I was also an athlete, trying to get back into it, but at lower levels though may not even be able to.
