The Struggle of Asking to Use the Bathroom During Menstruation in School

One time in high school I asked my teacher if I could use the bathroom cuz I really needed to change my pad. And she told me I needed to say it in Spanish (taking a Spanish class) and in my head I was like “No yeah sorry, lemme bleed all over your chairs and have you clean it up.” Thankfully I knew it but that’s definitely a current problem in schools right now. Some people have conditions where they need to go to the bathroom to do their thing AT THAT MOMENT. Or it could cause physical pain and/or mental pain(embarrassment). I’m sure there are other conditions that relate to genital area similarly out there.
