I feel like these medications(stimulants) don’t help with any of my ADHD symptoms. Does anybody else have this issue?

Have you tried stratera? It’s the most common adhd med that isn’t a stimulant. I had lots of problems with stimulants but love stratera! Also consider doubling up an adhd med with something else to address a specific symptom—I struggle with the emotional side of adhd and found the best addressal of that to be anti-depressants.

I wasn’t having too much luck with stimulants either. I found that I was just having small spurts of energy and then crashing. and it also demolished my appetite. my psych started me on wellbutrin— apparently it’s off label for adhd?? it has helped me a lot with executive function. especially initiating tasks and overall focus and concentration. might be worth looking into!

I’ve tried a bunch of stimulants and they make me more nauseous and irritable rather then helping with focus. Modafinal has been the best for focus but it still has the side effects for me. Might be worth a try for you - most people have never heard of it. It’s kinda like adderall but a lot less intense.

They help with executive function for me but that’s about all
