Is there a specialist I should see? I didn’t find out that I had anemia till first week of April. I woke up tired and very dizzy before I found out. I thought it was because I didn’t get enough sleep. One day i had abdominal pain. Doctor told me I was backed up & to take laxatives. She took blood sample because I told her how I had two periods in March which was weird for me because I don’t get my periods regularly. Mine been 9 months apart. I know it’s not a good sign but later on that’s how I found out I had anemi and PCOS from a OBGYN doctor in the same week.

There is a specialist called a Hematologist, often associated with Oncologists who specialize in blood disorders. If your GYN or Primary Care Provider can not help, get a referral for a Hematologist. Every problem has a solution. Best wishes!
