I was just diagnosed with osteoporosis. I’m still a bit in shock, as I’m a 34-year-old man, and I thought this was mostly an “old lady” condition. The doctor told me it’s most likely due to the seizure meds I’m taking (Keppra). I’ve been going to physical therapy, which I hope is helping, but the therapist told me that I need to do these exercises 3-5 times a week outside of therapy and really watch my posture too. How stressful… The good news is that she said there’s an injection I can take in my belly to help regrow bone density, but I can only take it for a total of 24 months of my whole life. Hopefully that will “fix” the problem, but I’m skeptical…
