does anyone else experience a hard time in their relationship because you feel emotions so much stronger than others? With bipolar my emotional highs can lead to romantic highs as well and I've been stuck in a loop of hitting the high and being too intense then hitting the low and withdrawing and feeling guilty. my partner is really understanding but I want to work on this. any suggestions?

My suggestion is to be open and honest about your mental health status and what you are diagnosed with so they understand what a relationship with you will be like. I just recently got out of a relationship and both of us are diagnosed bipolar but he never took his meds and it became too much for me and when I tried to be open about how I felt he shut me out. Some people can handle it and some can't but communication is key. Be who you are without any guilt, sometimes we just need time to ourselves and they should be able to understand that and give you what you need ❤️
