so ive been chronically ill for about 5 years, meaning I've never got to graduate high school. I feel like a complete failure. everytime I try to get my GED or high school equivalent I fail because of brain fog and other neurological issues. I can't get a job without a ged or equivalent. I can't hold a job because of my illnesses. I feel like giving up. I don't want to, but I don't know what to do anymore. any thoughts?

You got this! There is so many new programs out there especially with the inclusion of online classes. Try and see if there is an online program you would be able to enroll in for your GED! Don’t give up ❤️

I hear you ♡ I can't work right now, but when I could I did it without a ged or diploma... really the hardest thing about it is other people being ignorant and judgmental. I had to drop out because of my health issues and still people chose to see me as a slacker instead of someone working 4x as hard for 1/2 the credit. Don't listen to people who are committed to not seeing you! Have you looked into disability benefits and/or have you considered self employment?

@iconically_ill I'm looking into disability, Hopefully I'll be able to qualify since it's been 5 years. I've also been working odd jobs when I can, and am working on a side craft business that can Hopefully get some extra money too.

Several years ago before I discovered I was bipolar, on top of my other issues, I had called my mother in law crying, because I felt I was a failure. I remember the conversation because she told me that it was ok that I was taking a little longer getting to where I wanted to be (compared to others around me) and that when I was ready, I would be unstoppable. She was not wrong.

You are not a failure, you are sick. Please hold on. I know it’s hard but please keep going ❤️
