I usually take two 200mg naproxen sodiums. But I use it as a preventative as I can feel right before one starts. Usually does the trick that or a nap usually gets rid of it while being In a quiet dark room.

Chiropractor plus massage and Nurtec every 4 days. I have failed every triptan though. Nurtec is my miracle drug! ❤️

Hopefully they’ll put you on a migraine medicine (option for as needed depending on how frequent they are) I’m currently on Rizatriptan and it works really well
@megmoon I've tried two medications already nothing has helped
@Jasmine81120 which ones? May be a case of trial and error until you find a mix of things that do work for you - meds wise and lifestyle/alternative options wise

Eat, take a migraine over the counter medication, drink coffee, close all lights and devices, just stay in your bed and relax. Try not to think and try to sleep. I hope you’ll get better soon
@Avocado.XL avoid caffeine
@Avocado.XL thank you
If you have nausea with your migraines make sure and let the doctor know. I had a problem for a while vomiting up any medication I was prescribed so my doctor gave me a nasal spray triptan medication and an anti nausea med to use for the worst times!
@Lyzard thank you, I'll mention that the next time I see them
I've had a lot of look with Emgality and Rizatriptan, but Emgality has been a fight with my insurance. I also use medical cannabis, and it has drastically helped me. I also recommend an ice pack for your head if you don't already have one, and a blackout eye mask if you're sensitive to light. Good luck! And remember you know your body best, so don't be afraid to advocate for yourself 💙
@Sadchemist thank you
a good homeopathic thing to do in the meantime is to track your foods, since some doctors will end up asking you to do that anyways. also doing some research into what to avoid. anything with MSG is often a big trigger. this helped me a lot! turns out a lot of what I ate regularly (bananas, avocado, aged cheese) are triggers for me.
@meandmydog thank you, I'll keep a food journal
I was prescribed Topirimate 50mg as a preventative and Sumatriptan 100mg as a treatment if a migraine does happen (50mg) This has made my migraines far less frequent than they were thank goodness.
@InsightQueen I requested it from my Dr's via an online consultation and a telephone appointment
@InsightQueen r Thank you
