I’ve been having trouble with my body dysmorphia (BDD struggles). I anxious when I eat around others and if I’m eating too much. Any advice ?

      If you can, listen to music while you eat, to drown out the negative thoughts. And realize that your anxiety is not telling you the truth. Devalue the thoughts and dismiss them with facts. Anxiety lie: I am eating too much and everyone is judging me for it. Truth: I am eating what I need, to nourish my body and people have more important things to worry about than the amount that I’m eating.

      Thank you so much for the advice ! I’ve been looking for an app where I could talk about my struggles and help others as well and I’m so glad I found this app :)

      I used to have a lot of trouble eating around folks. I find it a lot easier if they're also eating. As long as they're distracted. Or keep a conversation open amongst them. It's allows you to get comfortable at the idea of eating in front of someone. Without the worry of what they might think of you getting too much in the way
