does anyone ever have heartburn so bad it feels like you need to go to the ER? Ive had so many times where I felt I needed to go to the ER but felt like I would just waste my money because they cant do much. ): and omeprazole has made it worse over the past few weeks has anyone ever had this? I stopped taking it. It gave me severe chest pain.

yes!! i’ve been in that boat many times. I take omeprazole and tums as needed. Mylanta works really well by numbing. otherwise try other meds like pantoprazole, pepcid etc

I take pantoprazole and find it helps— when i miss a dose or run out I start to notice my GERD getting worse again

Yep, same here. Over time omeprazole became less and less effective for me
I can still take it, but it doesn't do much for me. Mint tends to work better for me! Mint coated acid reducers or peppermint water 💕
Yes can you ask about carafate?
