Need advice for almost complete tear in left knee with severe osteoarthritis

I have an almost complete tear in my left knee that is riddled with severe osteoarthritis. An Ortho told me there's nothing they can do except replace the knee sometime down the road. Any advice?

      There is a doctor in Durham North Carolina( yes, I understand you might not live in North Carolina), but anyway, I got a lot of pain relief in my knee from a series of four shots and a knee brace. Here the doctor's office is called InnovaMed. I don't know if it'll help with a muscle tear though.
