I handle it by taking my pain meds before the pain gets outrageous. I’ve also learned coping skills like taking deep breaths, trying to find something to do like read, talk to someone or something, remove myself from my feelings like go to another part of the house where it may be a little more quiet, darker, or cooler. Learn to listen to my body but allow my mind to go in a different place (happier) place even sometimes I just think about how far I’ve come & tell myself if I’ve came this far I can continue on this journey with the same beat I did before… I beat it then, I’ve got to beat it now… Just encourage myself!!
