You can't fill someone's cup if yours is empty. It's ok to say no. Treat yourself as you would a friend.

I think that the "love your neighbor as yourself" is a key here. You can't give if you can't practice self-care effectively. Most of us struggle with self-care. I know I do. It seems to be a part of living with chronic conditions.

I used to do the same thing. Constantly give everyone all my energy. Me personally; I started trying to stop. Because I was raised treat people the way you want to be treated, so thats what I go off of. If they're rude to me, I have no filter.. It's less draining for me. Obviously social situations are still draining of in their own still. But idk *shrug* just what I started doing.
