Hot bath with sweet smelling bath salts and bath bombs! I typically listen to music have either juice or soda and some sweets to eat. I also add scented candles and a book to read. Along with my favorite soap, shampoo and conditioner (always floral scented). Makes for a lovely bath and I always feel refreshed after!

Just dropped my son at the Rail Station to attend the university Now having tea with loads of medication
Distraction and self soothing, both of which usually involve Bobs Burgers episodes or music from the show playing continuously/on repeat while I make art(draw/doodle, paint with watercolors, knit, collages, digital art edits...whatever! It doesn't matter what kind, just depends on the day and mood) or pet and cuddle with my cat(a gray 4 year old 14 pound feline who follows me everywhere around my home, who is my ESA) and my partner's dog(a 3 year old Siberian husky with heterochromia and beautiful eyes, who is super smart, super outspoken, and who is their--my partner's ESA, but we also spend almost every day together and she cuddles with me a lot while they're at work). I also recently moved somewhere with a bathtub and am excited to have that option!🛀 On days when things are the hardest, though, I do a few different things. For example: If my pain is bad, I stay in bed, take large amounts of CBD oil, my prescribed amount of Baclofen, some ibuprofen, and play Bobs Burgers with headphones at a low volume on my phone, with my eyes shut(I know most of the early episodes by sound anyway since I've been listening to/watching them for 10 years and my memory, defective as it is--thx✨ TBI, is mostly auditory), in bed with a soft blanket and my soft robe on, and the window open to let in fresh air. My cat son and step-dogter(/dog step-daughter) will join me for cuddles at some point too. I also sometimes have my heating pad, and, sometimes, dairy free meal replacement drinks(because those are a good place for me to start when solid food feels unfathomably challenging) and Zofran(so I can get full credit from my body for the effort of consuming a meal of sorts).
@zofranfilledzebra It seems I've over-shared on the internet again🫠
Just crying and letting it all out. It’s easier to do everything else when I don’t feel like a soda can about to burst.

Yes, and no it to be honest.
Ok i do this all the time and everyone else calls me wierd??? I also put the orange in the fridge first so its nice and crisp 😂
I like to eat an orange in the shower and use the peel as like aromatherapy in the hot water. Sounds weird but it feels like a lil treat.
I’m not sure I have any (or I can’t think of any). I’m getting new ideas from the content section, though.

Reality tv tbh. Also trying new recipes, or taking hot showers and singing along to my favorite songs. Ooo and if you have pets mostly like a dog or cat not like a fish (sorry fishes 😅) but go play with them. It’s honestly boosts my mood seeing them happily playing. They do the cutest funniest things 😄
Skin care. Treat yourself to good quality shower items. Super smelly lotions that make your skin soft, hair products that make your hair soft, quality shaving products, creamy texture body butters. When you feel good on the exterior it truly helps with your interior and mental health.

Calling a friend or younger family member and just asking them to tell u about a mundane part of their day/ vent about something bothering them. It makes me feel like I did something nice for them, plus I try to get out of bed and walk around during it
Going on walks (no matter how short), playing video games (sometimes with friends), making myself a hot drink. Or, on a really bad day, turning on the fairy lights in my room, closing the curtains, getting under my weighted blanket, and watching stuff on my laptop for hours. It doesn't have to be productive, I just need to feel okay.
I wish I did but I hate myself. I spend most of my days laying in bed wishing myself away and just trying not to act on intrusive dangerous thoughts now
@Dayze Find some mommy groups in your area. Facebook is a good place to start. You can even try homeschool groups or support groups of any ailments you or your kids have. 👋 Central Texas here

My mother always says that I'm always doing my best, and that's always good enough. Sometimes your best is just staying alive and that good enough.
@michelledevyn Thank you for that.
Standing naked infront of the mirror saying affromations of self love, or being outside practicing yoga, or mini spa moments they all help me relax, feel confident, and comforted
@ellinoris so wait a min, how does standing naked in front of the mirror help work?
Jacking off
654d
It used to my berserker hoodie + dark room + bed + something low stakes on my iPad. But lately that hasn’t been helping.
655d
I do my nails. I do them myself because one I can't justify spending that much money to get them done and two it's relaxing to do them myself. I've been doing them for about 10 years. They're non acrylics but still it's a process I've created. I feel better about myself with them. It relieves my stress for a bit.
@Lygia well if it helps u, feel free to paint mines if u need to lol
A warm cup of coffee in my favorite mug, giving myself permission to rest in bed in my comfy clothes, watching/taking pictures of sunlight playing in the shadows.
661d
Music helps me 100%!
665d
I will literally sit in a room alone and talk to myself in a mirror just having a therapy session expressing my thoughts/emotions and somehow that really really helps me to connect to my feelings and validate them/understand them better in the same way I would for a loved one
667d
Treat yourself as you would treat others 💕
671d
I'm not that great at keeping up on my self care, but the couple things I do have to do with my appearance. I've been wearing acrylic nails for about 2.5 years, I have one nail tech I'm very loyal to because he does beautiful artwork and we have great talks. I get a pedicure as well about every month or so, and I keep up on my hair, keeping it trimmed and colored to get rid of the greys I'm too young to show. I have a bit of a makeup addiction and I love doing my makeup as a form of self care and art. Honestly when I'm looking my best its hard to feel down in the dumps.
673d
I'm not quite there yet.maybe in the future I will find something.
A lack of independence does not mean a lack of purpose and meaning.

Genuine self love. Remembering that I know how hard I've tried, I know how hard it is, and I love myself even with my flaws because I know I'm always doing my best.
@LyraDaenestra It makes me feel so much better and helps me to really relax.
675d
Coloring….. found out the super detailed ones are great for when you are angry! Guess the focus needed drains the anger.
I greatly lower my expectations for myself, and I celebrate the little wins I make throughout the day.
677d
I do my nails and any art I have the energy for and when I’m feeling hopeless I grab whatever crystal fits the mood turn off the lights and listen to chill music we only get one life and one body and we survive and try to thrive or the sadness and sickness can swallow us whole
Lighy makeup. Not too much, just enough to see yourself in a new light. I like putting on a bit of eyeliner and pink eye shadow on my lower eyelid
Warm/hot Bath! 🤗😊☺ It's the best! Locked in a bathroom where no on can bother you and all your problems disappear for 30-60 minutes. Or three hours. 😅
688d
Cry. Just let it all go. It's so frustrating when people think thsy crying doesn't solve anything. I disagree somewhat, sure, it won't actually fix your problem but sometimes a good cry can solve internal turmoil to a degree. With that, I say that it does solve stuff
694d
I actively do things to add to my hobbies, interests, and self improvement. I am not my illness, my personality is not made by my illness it is made by me. I dont use my illnesses as a crutch, only as inspiration to improve how ever feels right for me.
Remind myself I am enough and go get pampered.

I used to go out to beautiful parks in the car and walk my dog. He passed away a month ago. I’ve never been this sad in my life.
@FoxChaser I'm so sorry. I know exactly how you feel. I've had so many of my doggies die in my lifetime. ( We always had a lot of them growing up. We had a lot of property to adopt and rescue). The best thing to focus on is the good life that you gave them and how much different that it could have been for them. Remember, getting another dog is not "replacing your other baby". It's giving another one a chance to have a great life.
751d
Video games and baths are my go to 🙌
