What does support look like for you? I have PTSD and it has gotten worse to the point that I self-isolate all the time and at times I forget how to speak. I am looking for a therapist and some support groups.

      I'm a very isolated person as well. Have been for the last 5 years or so. So support comes from within for me. Taking it easy on myself and my thoughts has been the biggest ones. Writing them down when it gets bad. Caring for myself like I would care for another person. Trying to stay as comfortable as possible when things are very uncomfortable. Grounding techniques when I need them. Short meditation sessions.

        @Sydari taking it easy on myself is a word right there. I am very hard on myself. Do you ever have people who think you shouldn’t isolate to heal? I need time alone to heal and some ppl don’t get it.

          @Lilly123 me too, that was a big problem for me. It's taken a long time and a lot of effort. Talk nice to yourself as much as possible. Yeah, for most people I would say they might need support from others and sometimes thats all you need. But I've just been alone and haven't had that option, ya know. I isolate due to anxieties and abandonment possibilities. It had to come from somewhere cause I had to keep going. Literally haha
