I have scoliosis & was told that if it moved anymore, I would have to get surgery, but it hasn't moved since the 8th grade cause that's when everything fuses & stops moving. I'm constantly in pain, I'm just used to living with it, which is not an ideal way to live. A heating pad is definitely a necessity. Something like icyhot may help too, but be careful cause it gave me a bit of a rash, a cyropractor could be helpful, & a back brace or support. If you sit a lot, get a seat cushion & something behind your back. Stretch frequently to loosen things up. Massages are good, but if it hurts, don't push it.

I personally push through the pain, but everyone's pain is different & if I knew of a way to not live in pain that wasn't expensive, I definitely would. Again, try & find something that works for you even if it decreases the pain just a bit. Try all of my suggestions & look online. Hot bath with bath salts that are meant to soothe joints & the body are good too. Be loud & and advocate for yourself. It's hard, but don't let your family push you around & undermine your pain. If you have to bust out crying & double down in pain in front of them, don't let them ignore you. & over the counter pain meds are your best friend (extra strength) & try cbd tropicals or creams (more expensive option, though)

Mine was diagnosed in December. A convex to the left with osteoporosis too. I'm waiting for my first appointment with orthopaedics. My hips lock up all the time, it's incredibly frustrating. I'm on enough pain meds that take the edge off. I've even lost 2 inches in height that I couldn't afford to lose at just 5ft3 lol. 5ft1 makes me feel like a hobbit lol

@Alpine thanks for the suggestions at this point my family thinks I can just push through my pain like everything else and I've been trying to see a chiropractor but can't cuz to busy and deal pretty much 24/7 with being in pain to the point I get angry a lot and wanna punch people and it seems it doesn't matter if I sit for to long or stand for to long it all hurts and it hurts to even touch my fingers on my spine
