Absolutely. My mother has been assaulted countless times and when she finally was mentally well enough to start unpacking the reality of that fact, she became very hypersexual.

Yes for sure. It's hard for me though because people have made me believe it's a bad thing, so it can become confusing. I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that I can do what I like with my body, as long as it's safe and there's consent

Yes, that's me. I think of it as "taking my body back" by having as many consensual sexual encounters as I feel comfortable with and can experience safely. It has been hugely helpful.

Yes. I definately was hypersexual. Then I stopped after having my complete hysterectomy. I wasn't on hormones and I think it turned me asexual. I have no purpose to have sex anymore. I think after going through certain experiences you get desensitized. As long as you're not hurting yourself physically and emotionally having sex, you should be fine, imo❤️

I was molested at a young age😭 and it has been hard and now that I'm older all I have been wanting is sex. some people it's normal to be very sexual and have a lot of interest and some people have next to no interest in it

It's actually a common coping mechanism in early life PTSD, there is a tendency to reenact the trauma as an attempt to be in control of it. I think therapy can help find other ways to cope with the burden of trauma.

Oh, majorly. It's very common. I've always been very sexual.

Yes, and for me a good chunk of my childhood years I was messed with.

Most definitely, and especially if it's in the childhood years because a young brain has pretty basic associations. I'm 0 or 100 with it 😅

Yup. Some people will become practically asexual. Others get hypersexual. My fiance went through sexual assault and he had sex with over 100 people before I met him. He also didn't talk to anyone about it though. He's not really sexual at all anymore and I'm perfectly happy with that. It's what he needs right now. So if this is what you are doing right now just make sure to get tested every few months and try to be safe. ❤️

Yes it is normal. I did the exact same thing afterwards. It will pass after some time.
