does anyone else find that they auditory hallucinate more when they put earbuds in with something playing?

I personally don't find too much change, but I find I get *illusions* more when I have earbuds in due to my auditory sensitivity and the way sound mixes. like the background sound if things like wind will sound like my phone vibrating or I'll hear someone calling my name, but all I really heard was the sound of a car going by. My personal theory is that hallucinations/illusions in this form come from not being able to discern background noise as clearly or subconscious anxiety due to not being able to hear your surroundings clearly? though tjat may be specific to the fact that a lot of my auditory hallucinations have to do with sound sensitivity

Honestly yea I do it's a pain but manageable I usually have my auditory hallucinations at night or while I'm out of my home and they come in heavy
