Recently, I've been experiencing crying spells that I believe are related to my CSA trauma. They usually happen at night and for no clear reason besides me thinking about my experiences. I haven't been able to find a reliable coping mechanism as my usual coping mechanism, music, seems to only make it worse. I've tried a few other distractions but they also haven't helped. Can anyone give me some ideas of what I can try to reduce these crying spells? (please ignore any grammatical mistakes oo;)
It sounds like you can't seem to stop you thoughts from going places you don't want to go. If you research thought stopping techniques you might find some useful coping skills.
