Check and see if your county has a community chest program. You can call in an emergency need and in most cases they will help you out. We have used ours several times. Also, food pantries. I agree! A lot of people do not drive. There are other avenues to get there, like the bus. Here because of Covid, the bus rides are all free. Social Services knows how to contact "Meals on wheels" or something like that. They deliver hot meals and cold ones to you. Don't give up looking. Your on the right track!

Maybe a friend or family member can help until you get your disability check?

I don't drive. I'm on a wait list for a delivery. I get $20 for food stamps. Thank you for your help though

👍 I don't know where you can get money, but there are many locations to get free food. I go to two churches and I get meat, veggies, snacks, bread and desserts. Local Social Services has a complete list for everyone. Also, I just applied for food stamps, because of the rise in all prices! Good luck.
