Pills, pills, pills........ I'm so tired of taking all these pills. Sometimes I forget to take them and other days I'm just plain lazy to take them. Am I alone on this one or anybody else feels the same way??????

I take 13 pills a day and about 9 at night. All I know is when I don’t take them I’m sick as hell. But yes, I hate taking them.😩

Ugh same I just got a new prescription for restless leg too that makes four different pills daily in addition to the 3 I'm taking after a tooth extraction
I struggle with taking my pills sometimes. I hate the side effects and everything from them... but they're needed for pain and mental health. I take 17 different meds
I hate it. I'm on 10 different meds for my epilepsy, lupus, fibromyalgia, C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, and migraines. It absolutely sucks

I feel the same way, I have to use my ID application to remind me, but I still hate taking medicine in general
You are NOT alone. Sometimes I will literally stare at the pills on my nightstand and just be like ugh do I have to?
Undoubtedly, taking medication has it's side effects, however, the alternative would be paralyzing! I thank God for this gift! Feel bad for prior generations having to brave such a devastating disease!
Honestly same. I take way too many different medications, and I am super forgetful with it to where I'm seen as "irresponsible" and "lazy" when i do forget. It's like I told my mother, I feel like I'm more pill than woman lol

Mood. I try to give myself a little treat for taking my meds 😅
@lonebaritone like what kind of a treat???
@Lani_Girl usually an m&m or a small peice of chocolate. I call it take the bitter with the sweet. But I can't have my tiny treat without taking my meds first. So far so good
I'm the same way.. Don't feel bad
I forget sometimes too, something that helps me remember is associating it with something I have to do every morning and every night (I have one morning med and one night med). I associate it with feeding my fish. Personally I don’t really mind taking my meds, because without them, I have really bad depression days, and very frequent suicidal ideation. So my meds help so much that I don’t really mind taking them.
I understand that completely my morning meds are the worst I almost never take them because I have a hard time eating when I wake up and I need to take these meds when I get up with food or I'm throwing up and weak all day
Yes, feel the same. I try my best to take them everyday. Hopefully, I can be weened off of them. Hang in there!
i am on many pills but i have a transplant so there is no room for error. i use a pill box and reminders on my phone and take my meds at the same time everyday. once you get in the habit it isn’t so hard! i used to take almost 40 day at first but now i’m down to only 9!
yes I do feel better when I take them. Feels like crap when I miss several doses. 😥😥😥
I feel the same way!! It’s hard also when you have to get up at 4:30 am and all the medicine says to take with food, who can/wants to eat that early!!! Hang in there you are not alone
@DSmith I cannot eat that early. So therefore I don't take my meds till about mid day close to evening.
I agree. I take so many different pills every single day. Plus use drugs on the side 😢 Oh I want to just be healthy and normal!
I’m not sure what your specific conditions are, and what meds you’re taking (or not taking 😜😄), but at least once a year I insist that my prescribing docs reevaluate the medications I am on and dosages. I have successfully gotten them to wean me off of several that were not necessary, and lower dosages on others. I’m down to only 5 Rx’s plus Vit D3. I keep a pill case next to my bed, so I’m reminded to take the morning pills when I wake up, and the rest at bedtime. It has simplified the process substantially. 😊

@Lunas_Mom 👍
@Lunas_Mom I see my psychiatrist bi monthly and my neurologist a few times a year, with them and my PCP and therapist, I’m constantly getting my meds evaluated/monitored. It helps me a lot because my memory is so bad I have trouble tracking symptoms
Lani, too many pills I agree.....plus the side effects!!
Every day I go through the exact same thing.
