I haven't seen a neurologist since 2000. I'm 36 years old and I have had no shunt issues since I was 13. Should I still see a neurologist?

I was told to check in with my neuro annually but otherwise to not worry unless I had issues

I myself am in the process of locating a neurologist as well. It’s been 8 years since my shunt was last checked. It’s difficult finding a reliable one

Yes, it is best to get your shunt checked because there is a possibility of calcification. And you may want to get it checked to make sure it is working properly

I would. I'm not sure where you're from but having one assigned to you would be helpful for when things go wrong. Mine retired when I was 5 and I didn't have problems until I was 24. Thankfully it was a slow malfunction because from referral to the actual appointment, it took about a month. A month of agony.

@Hydrohead1989 I'm from the US so you can understand how that happened.

It wouldn’t hurt to see one if you can get in.

If it's not bothering you I just say leave it be
