Helping a Kid: My Dream Come True

I helped a kid today. This is all I wanted. Ever since I knew I didn't want other kids hurting like I did. I studied psychology, ready to become a therapist, and the first time I can really say I helped a kid wasn't when I worked in social work (because the place I worked in was garbage) or when I worked in home health (because that place didn't give a damn about their clients and turned a blind eye to abuse All The Time), but in a job I basically got on accident as a substitute teacher. A little girl. A panic attack. And a little talking. And I actually felt like I helped her. I've finally done it.
