so I have the mental health nurse on Friday. the thing is I struggle to talk and answer the questions. If I wrote down how I feel and how things are would she understand. write down where it all started from?

I would. Definitely do that if that's where you are mentally. You need help and this is how you can communicate effectively.

Yes definitely write everything down. I have to do that too. It really helps to get everything across. My brain shuts down when I need to talk about it. Or trying to explain how I'm feeling/have been feeling x

For quite some time I only communicated with my mental health team via notes and typing onto my phone. They totally understood.

I always go to doctors with written notes. I have a significant medical trauma history and tend to freeze up and forget everything as soon as I get to the doctor. All of my doctors have been really receptive to my notes and most of the time I give them a copy for my chart.

I would give it a try, it wouldn’t hurt.
