I need help with pain management. I suffer from Spinal Stenosis, 3 bulging discs, SI Joint Dysfunction on both my left and right, arthritis in neck, and beginning of Disc Degenerative Disease. Unfortunately I live in NYC and pain management here isn’t the same since the opioid crisis began. I cannot take medications that are regularly prescribed such as Gabapentin (almost killed me) Lyrica, or Cymbalta. I am no longer prescribed percocet because I was taking it as a PRN, and stopped taking it altogether only to come back 8 months later with worsening pain, and being told I cannot get it prescribed. Got to love NYC. I’ve been trying to relocate because of my health issues and the lack of compassionate care here. Basically my quality of life is crap because I literally struggle with pain every day and can’t get a lot of things done. I don’t smoke pot, allergic asthma, it would help with pain. And medicinal here is $200 a month! Plus I can’t gain weight. Pot will do that to me. Has anyone heard of Kratom? I’ve tried everything from eating healthier, exercising a bit, etc…

Hey so about a month ago the CDC decided they were going to relax all the prescription regulations for opioid pain medication. I imagine it's gonna take time to see that change, but it is expected to change. They are seeing that cutting everyone off of pain meds didn't reduce deaths, the deaths increased. 🙏

I take tramadol and Robaxin, but Dr. Is very strict with meds. I have problems from T12 to S1 2 blown discs, the rest are bulged, lumbar stenosis, hyper mobile SI joints both R & L mostly R side, arthritis in lumbar spine. Constant spasms and pain. I see a chiropractor 2x a week, she does ultrasound, laser, EMS, heat and light massage. She cannot do typical adjustments for fear of doing damage. Without her I don't where I'd be.

Hi there. I’m down here in Texas and can’t get pain meds. I have a fused back and spinal stenosis. I also have fibromyalgia and in chronic pain. I am to get an electric wheelchair soon so that I can get around with less pain. I also use a service dog who is a huge help.
