Who here is taking propranolol? What are your side effects/experiences like? Is it helping?

@Migraineblues I believe I started at like 20mg, up to 40 then up to 60 and then I switched

I was on it for a few months. It helped in the beginning then slowly my migraines started coming back and I had to switch meds.

I originally started Propranolol when my Neurologist gave it to me for migraine prevention. The dosing he started me out with was 60 mg extended release. I took that for about 3 days and was unable to continue due to it dropping my BP tremendously. My cardiologist decided to put me on the same med for my Tachycardia at 10 mg 2x per day. At this dose I don't have any side effects, my BP stays within low normal, and my heart rate stays between 110 and 120 most of the time. Hope this helps.

@Migraineblues yes it is but the dosing for migraine prevention is 60 to 80 mg per day. Even at the 10 I am on now for tach, my BP's go as low as 85/50.
