Hi everyone, I’ve restarted plaquenil for skin lupus in December, but I’m having skin tears/lesions develop in my skin folds. Docs are suspicious of inverse psoriasis. Typically plaquenil takes 3-6 months to be clinically effective but know that some research suggests that it can flare psoriasis. Has this happened to anyone else? I really benefit from plaquenil from a skin lupus standpoint. The first time I was on it , this didn’t happen. Thank you!

I know that plaquenil may be a treatment for psoriasis with arthritis, but doctors avoid it because it may cause psoriasis flares. It’s really a question of what’s best for you, and give you the best quality of life
