What’s one thing that’s made a significant difference in your treatment? Either negatively or positively.

The fact my partner bust his butt and I’m trying to get back into the field of working . When I get interviews I’m always nervous and he’s super positive and says if you are happy with the job and you get it awesome and if not we keep going . Right now we dash and grubhub . It gives me the freedom to take a breathe when I need too . But I wanna find at least a part time job too

A good support system and a medication I got put on. Don’t get me wrong I still have bad dreams but they’re not everyday like I had them I also got a doctor who specializes in ptsd and is helping me.

Bad therapy. Doesnt help I already had medical trauma but a bad therapist who lazily treated me for PTSD but refused to even take me seriously when I asked for an OCD assessment made both significantly worse. Turns out when you have both and your OCD is tied to trauma having only one be treated will worsen the other due to the nature of the disorders. If you bring up concerns and your doctors isnt even willing to have a conversation on potentials or test you, they are not invested in your best interest.

Having a good support system of doctor's and having been graced with a great husband that handles my meds for me. A positive and negative is that I cut my abusive family out of my life

Honestly going off my meds. It showed me I need them if I want to survive and since I do want to live I have to take my meds.

my partner taking the time to research my meds and my disorder. i was in a depressive episode and her telling me the side effects and what i can do to help myself made the journey easier . the main thing was drinking LOTS of water and always having a water bottle on me
