As a person with depression, I newly started medication, found it helps! Anyone else can speak to this?

Actually, I just lost my meds. I cant pay what the new health insurance wants for them ($604 for a 90 day supply) so yeah. Its day 2 without them and I'm already going sideways.

I love my medication! they treat my anxiety and depression in one as well as my migraine disorder. it doesn't take away the disorder or cure anything, but it's like it's given me armour or something so I can handle it easier. I'd bs lost without them, they make it possible for my coping mechanisms and therapy stuff to actually work! it's definitely still there but I don't feel so helpless anymore when it happens

I didn’t even know that I was depressed when I was diagnosed and prescribed medication. And then the medication took effect and it’s like I took off sunglasses that I’d been wearing for a really long time. So grateful for meds!

Hi all, I’m just seeing your comments. Thank you for your thoughts. I’ve tried Prozac and Zoloft prior to lexapro (what I’m on now). It’s been hard finding something that didn’t aggravate my sensitive stomach. However I was on 75 ml of Zoloft and it helped (felt little to no depression) but that dose messed with my stomach. Hoping that lexapro continues to work (started a few weeks ago)

What medicine helped ? I have been anti but I think I need to give it a shot .. temporary. I have 2 teens . Husband. Started therapy. NO one ( family and the few friends I have left ) understand my autoimmune life …

I hated how I felt on the meds so I were off and felt so much better

i’ve had a long journey with meds but I feel like i’m starting to finally get the right cocktail of meds for me. Just remember some meds may work, and some might not! Each med effects everyone differently and it’s really just a lot of trial and error until you find what works for you!

My medications saved my life. I'm afraid to ever go off of them. I never want to feel like that again.

For someone that dosent take meds. It's for good reason. Everything iv tried makes me more suicidal. So I just write my feelings down and it helps me.
