Does anyone else get increasingly bad OCD habits when they’re stressed? I feel like the more anxious I am, the worse I get. (I know OCD is an anxiety disorder, just curious about others experiences).

oh yeah, definitely. the thing about ocd is that for a lot of people, subconsciously, the compulsions are about having some semblance of control; if i do x then my dog wont die, if i avoid y then my car wont break down, if i dont do z then ill get food poisoning, etc. so it makes a lot of sense that stress makes those symptoms worse. your brain feels like everything is out of control and its kind of trying to get that sense of control back. at least thats how i rationalize it to myself, anyways
Yes. As long as you are aware, your ahead of the game

Yeah I have it and it increases my hallucinations and my tiks
Oh absolutely. This year has been really stressful for me in almost every area of my life, as it has been for a lot of us, and my OCD habits/thoughts have been nothing short of severe. The last time it was this bad was when I was 16 after a really traumatic year, and I didn’t think it would ever get this bad again. I’m 21 now. It literally just occurred to me a couple months ago that this could be all because of stress.

Yep, I’m currently under a lot of stress as well and my OCD is a lot worse than usual. This has happened in the past for me too, I’m sure it’s normal but it’s very hard to deal with 🥲

Ocd can get back when you're stressed, for me I'll start getting stressed out then it gets worse as my ocd will make me more stressed about messes I can't get to because of being busy which adds more stress
