I wake up every morning and I gag or dry heave before or during the time I’m brushing my teeth. Has this happened to anyone else? It’s like I’m mentally preparing my self to gag because I know it’s gonna happen. I also noticed if I get to anxious during a stressful time I will gag and actually throw up.

I puked daily for about 10 years, after the trauma .Then I lost my gall bladder, it got better after that. But I think it's either the brain injury or anxiety. Stress definitely makes it worse. I've been on promethazine and protonix forever as well. I can't eat certain foods, I've been diagnosed w lymphocytic colitis, it a whole thing. I hope you find relief!!!!

This just recently started happening to me a lot too! I found it has a lot to do with my allergies. If I take some Claritin at night it opens up my throat and clears the mucus and I don’t gag so much. It’s so unpleasant!

@vickielove I will try that! Thank you.
Had the same issue awhile back. I was going through a very stressful time. I found playing music helped to defer my attention.
