You're safe. You're okay. Think about the moment, not the future, not the past. Name 5 things in the room you can touch, describe how they feel. Then name 4 smells, describe them, 3 colors, and keep finding things to focus on... That's what helps me, I hope it is helpful for you too.

I will try to roll my ankles and crack my fingers, I get super fidgety and sometimes during an attack but doing little movements help calm me down. Also counting each finger, you don’t even have to watch your self count your finders, you can lay down and count with your thumb on your four fingers. I’m sorry your going through this I know it sucks ;( I’m here if you ever want to talk and I hope some of my coping skills can help you.

I’m awake. Something that helps me is to find 3 things in my room and say it’s color out loud, then find 3 more thing and say what it is out loud, it helps to direct your focus away from the attack.

@calliecill I completely understand, is there anything you enjoy? Like a favorite YouTuber? Maybe asmr videos? Cleaning videos? Make some calming music?

Hello :) is it a body panic attack? (Hyperventilating, cramping, nausea, high heart rate, shaking, etc.) or is it like your mind or both?

@Princessa111 it’s both i’m freaking out but i don’t know why and it’s making me shake and think of worst case scenarios

@calliecill right now you can get to a place where you’re calm enough to use other coping mechanisms, if you’re alone wrap your arms around yourself really tight as if you’re hugging yourself- gently rock back and fourth and just breathe. Out loud say everything is okay repeatedly once the physical symptoms calm down :)
