For the third time in my life I have a swollen thyroid with nodules that were biopsied and were benign. In ‘98 I had to have nodules removed because they were precancerous. My thyroid is so swollen it feels like someone has their hand around my neck. Endocrinologist says well we can just remove it if it bothers you!!! Then what?? That part was never explained to me. Very blasé about it and so was my primary. Should I have it removed? And will it just cause other problems??
