hi :) i have realized that my ADHD has been acting up more than usual during school, and i’m not sure if it’s just the stress of my senior year or if it’s a mixture of everything in my life. does anyone have good ways of managing ADHD during school days or even work?

Drink water. It's a healthy distraction and a way to fidget. Also a fidget toy of some kind. I often had a crystal in my hand and used it for sensory regulation. Creativity breaks. Give yourself 20 minutes and do something for yourself. Take a relaxing shower, draw, paint, write in a journal, take a nice walk in nature. Your brain is a muscle and when you over use it, it starts to act up. Also, how is your ADHD acting up? Sometimes symptoms are easier. Capture the generals before the king.

      1. I'm sure you've heard this before and I've rolled my eyes at this suggestion aswell, but I've tried meditating before bed when times were rough and it's legitimately helped me get more sleep and wake up clear minded. 2. I have no clue about your situation, but I'd also consider if you started any new medications/ have been more or less consistently taking them. 3. (This ones hippy-ish ik) carrying/using peppermint ir lavender essential oils. I've found both to rly help my concentration and anxiety. Just some things that have helped me when i couldnt be motivated to keep up a good diet or routine.. 🤷

I find it hard to do schoolwork efficiently if I am distracted at all, and I’ve found that earplugs help me focus. Especially if I have to take a test in class, earplugs help me a lot. I normally take tests in another room because of disability services at my school. And I have a hard time staying motivated to do my work, so I do almost all my homework while watching a “study with me” video on YouTube. My favorite is “elloitsangela”. Studying with someone helps me keep going, that’s why the YouTube video kinda works the same way.

I try to keep a worry rock in my pocket, it's basically a smooth rock with a indent to make it easy to rub. You can also just use a smooth rock you find outside. Another option is to keep a coin in your pocket, so same idea but free lol. I also using a book mark to help me focus on reading by placing it under the sentence I reading to cover up the rest of the words. If you have understanding teachers ask them if they have online versions of their lessons when you know you won't be able to pay attention that day. Hope this help!

Hello :D personally I've found it easier to make more difficult tasks enjoyable. I always carry headphones with me and listen to music while doing tasks. When you get them out of the way, you can reward yourself by doing something more fun. Another thing is to break down tasks into small steps - don't overwhelm yourself by thinking of EVERYTHING you need to do at once
