I’m having a hard time figuring out a job to do with my social anxiety. I’m worried that I’m the near future I won’t be able to support myself with a job because of my anxiety. It’s hard for me to be around a lot of people for long periods of time, and for me to be away from home for a long time. Is there any job ideas that may be good for me to look into?

I'm with you! I'm on disability for it and a cpl health problems. I hate it & miss working! I'd say the suggestion of patient sitter is good. Stuff like that where it's only u and 1-2 others. I did home care and loved it and not having to be around loads of people. But I also have back/ breathing issues so I couldn't longer do that :'(

I am in the same spot as you right now. I had to quit my job a few months back because of my anxiety and burn out. Where I live, there's not a lot of job opportunities to begin with so I'm unsure of what to do next....

@Bunny.girl I’m sorry! That must be really hard 😥 I hope you can figure something out! We’re both kinda in the same boat with jobs it seems 😅

@lunakitty414 do you have to take any tests for that? Right now I’m doing in home care and I’m too anxious to do the test again because of what happened the first time. They said I have until July of next year to work. Tests in front of people and me don’t mix

@Panda_Bae when I applied I didn't have to take one

@lunakitty414 that sounds like something i would like to do im a real shy person and its difficult to talk to people

tbh i had super bad social anxiety (i still do) but getting a food service job helped tremendously with that because you’re having short, safe social interactions in structured ways

@jDilla that’s awesome! I’m glad that helped you 🤗 I wish that sort of thing would help me, but for some reason I can’t get used to things. I used to do lots of interactive activities/sports with people all the time in school and I was always anxious and I feel as if I can’t be away from home too long in those situations I don’t know why 😢

@Violetaa I’m sorry, it’s not laziness though. I totally understand what you’re saying
